Waterproofing 101

Waterproofing in a bathroom is a crucial step that is often overlooked. Poor or improper waterproofing can lead to the obvious leak, but it’s the damage you can’t see that is the most harmful and unhealthy. Mold, rot, and vapor drive are a few examples of the negative outcomes of improper waterproofing that you can’t see until it’s too late. A shower needs to be waterproof and vapor proof in order to remain a healthy, and clean space. As much as we love to make a beautiful shower on the outside, we care just as much about what’s behind the wall.
